The traditional approach to implementing IT solutions involves, first creating a set of high-level business requirements, then going straight to the market to select a technology and/or vendor. This has shown diminished return on investment time and time again. The reality of the success of an IT solution is not as much dependant on issues of technical elegance as it is on user acceptance. It is the user interface that will consequently make or break the success of its implementation.
Craig Errey (PTG Global Managing Director) points out a list of issues every business should be aware of when implementing new technology.
